Pelvic pain is one of the most common complaints amongst men, women and children and can often occur through other conditions such as pregnancy, constipation, adhesions following surgery, etc.
At our clinic we treat a huge range of disorders associated with the pelvis, including:
Pain In The Pelvic Floor / Perineal Area
Pain In The Urethral / Vaginal / Rectal Area
Lower Abdominal Pain
Treatment involves a specialised plan developed around each individual client we see, taking into account their unique conditions and physiological build. Treatment generally involves a full assessment of the pelvis, perineum, pelvic floor, abdomen and often the muscles of the thighs. Once the nature of the condition has been determined, Emma can then employ a variety of rehabilitative measures to restore function and relieve pain. Common techniques we use include:
Trigger point therapy
Connective tissue manipulation
Manual therapy of the pelvis
Manual manipulation of the pelvic floor and pelvic area
Rehabilitation also involves learning how to reduce and control the tone in the pelvic floor which can be achieved using specific exercises.
